How to improve your camera flash! by NE-R0 How to improve your camera flash! by NE-R0
We had to take portraits for my photo class, so i was experimenting with lights n stuff - problem is, i don't really have any advanced things to make my photo's cooler! ..other than my camera ofcourse
and all tutorials on photoshoots i've seen always included some super expensive stuff~

Well - i hope this helps!

Hmmm... Haven't tried a plastic cup - am going to do that.  Have put my flash up and placed a piece of toilet paper over it - decent effect, and usually, can be found nearby if it tears or you forget, etc.

That option does exist! But because it changes the shutter speed, photo's usually come out blurry

I never thought of the cup idea! I like the soft effect. I used to use bounce laundry sheets to soften my flash. It works but it's a pain to hold stuff in front of the built in flash. *sigh* One day we will afford proper lighting kits! One day! balloon

I found that a CD made my room much lighter overall while giving the top of my subject light, rather than the side or front. It made for a very interesting effect when there were no other lights on.

That's a great idea! Much more handy than running 'round with cups for your camera xD
